PITTSBURGH — A shooting in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood Thursday morning prompted a modified lockdown at Carrick High School.
Police and paramedics were called shortly after 6 a.m. to East Agnew Avenue, officials said. The victim had already left the scene by the time they got there.
A short time later, the man who was shot was found at a nearby convenience store. Police said he had been shot in the arm and was taken to a hospital.
A Pittsburgh Public Schools spokesperson said there were additional school police at Carrick High School while the lockdown was in place.
