SomeraRoad to present 246-unit Southside Works Riverfront Apartments to Pittsburgh Planning Commission

PITTSBURGH — A project the firm has often signaled was coming soon, SomeraRoad is poised to build a major new apartment project on a more-than-an-acre stretch of riverfront at the SouthSide Works.

The new ownership of the Southside Works master plan is scheduled to present its proposal for the Southside Works Riverfront Apartments to the Pittsburgh Planning Commission at its upcoming meeting on Tuesday, June 15.

Agenda materials features a design by Lawrenceville-based Desmone Architects for a seven-story building expected to total nearly 350,000 square feet for 246 apartments for a long parcel that extends from the park entrance next to the Hofbrauhaus down to the South Side Marina.
