HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police have taken one man into custody after discovering drugs, guns, money and a bulletproof vest.
Members of the state police community enforcement team were running narcotics details when they pulled over Zachary Morton on Route 30 in Hempfield Township.
Morton was allegedly acting nervous and officers said they smelled marijuana.

When police brought a K-9 in, it alerted the to narcotics and they discovered 20 pounds of marijuana, one pound of THC wax, 400 marijuana vape pen cartridges and cocaine.
Officers then went to Morton’s home on 9th Street where they found additional drugs and more than a dozen guns.
Morton is facing numerous charges and was denied bail. He’s being held at the Westmoreland County Prison.
