Surveillance video shows car crashing through laundromat in North Versailles

A car crashed through a laundromat Tuesday in North Versailles while it was open for business.

Surveillance video shows the car slam into Spin Cycle Laundromat on East Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard, crashing through glass windows and toppling bricks.

The car crashed into an area where customers typically stand.

“There was nobody in the coin change room, which was fortunate because she actually hit the back wall, so there is some damage but nothing structural,” owner Jonathan Stark said.

While many businesses are closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, laundromats are considered essential.
