PITTSBURGH — A man suspected of dealing heroin was arrested Friday morning while authorities executed a search warrant at a home in Pittsburgh’s Hazelwood neighborhood, officials said.

Allegheny County Police narcotics detectives executed the warrant on Monongahela Street.

During the search, 550 stamp bags of heroin/fentanyl, a stolen 9 mm handgun, a small amount of marijuana and $7,221 in cash were found, police said. The gun was found under a pillow on the suspect’s bed.

The heroin/fentanyl seized by authorities is worth $3,300, according to investigators.

Derrick Phillips was arrested. He is charged with felony possession with intent to deliver heroin/fentanyl, receiving stolen property, person not to possess a firearm and possession.
