Ted Cruz says President Biden ‘more interested’ in Paris than Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Wednesday to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement.

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz criticized the move Wednesday, saying rejoining the agreement shows that Biden is “more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris, than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate, and will harm the livelihoods of Americans.”

Mayor Peduto responded saying, “Are you kidding me? Here we go again.”

The Paris Climate Agreement is an effort to curb the climate emergency.

It was signed near Paris in 2015, but it wasn’t tailor-made for Parisians.
