- Suspect Sayfullo Saipov appeared in court Wednesday in a wheelchair while handcuffed and with his legs shackled. He was ordered detained. His lawyers did not seek bail.
- Federal prosecutors brought terrorism charges against Saipov, the 29-year-old immigrant accused of crashing a rented truck into a bike path, killing 8 people.
- Saipov watched ISIS videos on his cellphone and picked Halloween for the attack because he new more people would be out in the streets, investigators said.
- As he lay in the hospital after being shot by police, Saipov asked to display the ISIS flag in his room and stated that he "felt good about what he had done," according to court papers.
- He's charged with providing material support to a terrorist group and committing violence and destruction of motor vehicles.
- The FBI said it is no longer searching for a second person wanted for questioning.
