Thieves break into cars parked outside tennis club in middle of day

SOUTH PARK, Pa. — High-quality surveillance video shows two men breaking into cars at a South Hills tennis club this week.

Police are looking for two men who were caught going from vehicle to vehicle in the parking lot of the Glenn Creek Tennis Club in South Park.

The video shows the men pulling up to a car, opening their own car doors to block what they're about to do and somehow prying open the door.

One man breaks into a locked car and starts rifling through it as the other one stands watch.

Eventually they move onto another, then another.

"We do everything we can as a small business to keep everyone safe and happy and it's frustrating," said Tom Gorman, the owner. "It's pretty shocking they had done that before in a smash and grab as well, so obviously these people have done it before and obviously got a lot of guts."

After that incident a few months ago, Gorman told Channel 11 he installed an $8,000 surveillance system and gave a warning to his staff and clients.

"There's really nothing in these vehicles because all of our members and staff and our guests come play," Gorman said. "We told them to take all of their belongings and valuables inside with them."

South Park police are seeing if they can make the license plate in the video more clear.

The chief told Channel 11 he's hoping someone recognizes the men from the video.
