UNIONTOWN, Pa. — One person was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a school bus in Fairchance Borough.
It's unclear at this time if the person was on the school bus or in a different vehicle.
According to the police chief, a vehicle traveling southbound on Route 857 lost control and crossed into the northbound lanes.
The bus driver saw this happening and tried to avoid the vehicle, but was unable to escape damage completely.
There were 39 students on the bus plus the driver, but only one person was treated for injuries.
The police chief told 11 News there was about an inch of ice and slush on the road and he believes that was the cause of the crash.
