UNITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Westmoreland County man saw someone breaking into his car, confronted him and got pepper-sprayed.
It happened on Gravel Hill Road in Unity Township.
Pennsylvania State Police arrested the man who is accused of breaking into several cars over the weekend.
According to court documents, Christopher Reynolds, 37, was found with numerous cell phones, wallets, credit cards and other items that didn't belong to him.
Reynolds pepper-srayed the victim in the face and eyes when that man tried to confront him.
The victim managed to hold onto Reynolds as family called 911.
Medics treated the victim there.
Reynolds told police he broke into five or six other cars and took items from each one before officers arrived.
Police were able to identify four other victims by canvasing the area and checking the names on the stolen credit cards.
