UPMC, Pittsburgh Penguins to host Johnson & Johnson vaccine clinic

PITTSBURGH — Nearly 12,000 community members will soon have the opportunity to get vaccinated.

UPMC, the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) and the Pittsburgh Penguins are teaming up to host a drive-up Johnson & Johnson vaccine clinic on April 14-15 at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Tarentum.

The clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment only. Those interested in getting the vaccine can make appointments by calling (833) 676 - 1995 or by clicking here to register online.

When arriving at the drive-up clinic, you will confirm your appointment, receive the vaccine and park for 15 minutes while UPMC nurses and lot attendants check to ensure you don’t have any severe reactions to the shot.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a single-shot vaccine that only requires one dose to reach its effectiveness capabilities.

Officials with Allegheny Health Network are also holding a major vaccination clinic with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. It will take place inside the Next Tier Connect offices in Monroeville Friday and Saturday.
