PITTSBURGH — A vehicle fire in the Squirrel Hill tunnel caused a traffic backup on the Interstate 376 that extended for miles Sunday afternoon.

The incident was reported around noon in the westbound lanes headed toward the city, and was cleared as of 12:45 p.m.

PennDOT cameras showed traffic backed up to the Greensburg Pike exit at Route 22.

According to emergency responders no one was injured.
