WILKINSBURG, Pa. - A man barricaded himself inside a Wilkinsburg home with his girlfriend and an elderly woman Wednesday morning, prompting an hours-long SWAT standoff, police said.
The standoff started shortly before 1 a.m. on Mifflin Avenue.
Police said Gerald Lee, of Penn Hills, who was wanted on several warrants, shot up a home in Duquesne on Tuesday. He later went to the home in Wilkinsburg, where an elderly couple he knows lives.

The elderly man was forced out of the home by police Wednesday morning, but the woman, who is disabled, remained inside, authorities said.
At one point, Lee kicked out an air conditioning unit at the home in an attempt to escape, but went back in upon seeing the police presence, according to court paperwork.
Lee was taken into custody shortly after 5:30 a.m. His girlfriend, Sharajh Washington, was also wanted in the shooting and taken into custody, police said.
