CLAYSVILLE, Pa. — A Washington County school district is considering moving to a four-day school week.
Twenty-five states have at least one district with a four-day schedule, but Pennsylvania is not one of them and there are none in the northeast.
Advocates say it can help districts cut costs and that shorter weeks with longer days can lead to better attendance, as well as improved academic performance.
