SHARPSBURG, Pa. — Police in Sharpsburg want your help tracking down a woman who is on the run, accused of endangering her daughter.
Dawn Ecker, 51, is facing numerous charges and her apartment has been condemned because of the deplorable hoarding situation she and her child were in, according to court documents.

Neighbors said garbage and belongings were crammed inside the apartment on Penn Street.
Police were called to the apartment on Aug. 26 after a Children, Youth and Families case worker reported Ecker ran away from her during a welfare check.

Officers went inside the apartment and found the girl in what court documents described as “abhorrent” conditions with an odor, as well as apparent crack pipes and other drug paraphernalia within reach.
The girl was placed in emergency protective custody.
