Woman shot early Saturday in city’s Spring Hill neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A woman was shot in the leg shortly after 5:15 a.m., according to police.

According to 911 dispatchers, the scene was the 100 block of Rhine Place.

Channel 11′s crew at the scene could see police going in and out of a building on that block as cruisers lined the street.

When police arrived, they found the injured woman and she was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. It’s not clear what led to the shooting.
