CITY OF WASHINGTON, Pa. — A woman who allegedly robbed a pizza delivery driver in the city of Washington was taken down by a K-9 officer, according to police.
The pizza delivery driver for Papa Johns, who is a teenager, said he got the call to deliver a pizza close to midnight on Sunday to an apartment in Jollick Manor.
Police said before he could get to the door, a group of people came out of one of the apartments and attacked him.
The teen said he was punched, kicked and beaten.

The suspects stole $20, a key, the pizza and his cellphone before running.
Washington police arrived a short time later and caught Shiona Gilbert, 19.
Gilbert was taken down by a K9 officer and was bitten in the back.
Police said her phone number matched the number of the caller who ordered the pizza.
The pizza delivery driver is doing well and is out of the hospital.
The general manger of the Papa Johns said it is extremely rare for one of its drivers to be robbed.
