Pancreatic cancer has a five-year survival rate in the single digits, making it one of the world's deadliest cancers.

The "Jeopardy!" host went public earlier this year about his stage IV pancreatic cancer diagnosis. While Trebek responded well to his initial chemotherapy treatment, he had a setback that required him to receive a second round of chemotherapy.

On Wednesday, Trebek released a PSA discussing his partnership with the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition and how the public can help. He hopes the campaign will help raise awareness about the disease and its symptoms. In the PSA, Trebek notes that he wishes he had been diagnosed sooner, noting that he experienced "persistent stomach pain" prior to diagnosis.

Trebek is asking people to wear purple and send supportive messages on social media on World Pancreatic Cancer Day, which is Nov. 21
