JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, star of such blockbuster movies as "The Terminator" franchise, "The Expendables" and "Predator," to name just a few, was drop-kicked from behind at his Arnold Classic Africa sporting event Saturday in Johannesburg.
In a testament to his health and physique, Schwarzenegger stumbled forward a bit but was essentially unharmed.
“Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd,” the one-time Mr. Universe said about the incident in a Twitter post to his four million followers. “I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you.”
“I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat,” the actor joked.
The man was quickly apprehended by a security guard and handed over to police, the BBC reported.
Schwarzenegger declined to press charges, although he did have one request.
“If you have to share the video (I get it), pick a blurry one without whatever he was yelling so he doesn’t get the spotlight,” Schwarzenegger said.
The Arnold Classic Africa takes place every May and features 90 sports, including bodybuilding and combat sports, and thousands of athletes. It's part of the actor's international fitness campaign.
