LOS ANGELES — The cause of death for actor Kristoff St. John has been revealed by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
TMZ reported that the coroner's office listed hypertrophic heart disease as the cause of death. It is categorized as accidental.

St. John was found dead in his San Fernando Valley, California, home Feb. 3. He was 52 years old.

St. John was best known for his role as Neil Winters on the long-running daytime soap opera “The Young & the Restless.” He had been on the show since 1991 and won numerous Daytime Emmys and NAACP Image Awards for the part.
