CINCINNATI — Fifth Third Bank customers were unable to access their accounts online or pay using their debit cards at businesses Friday because of an undetermined issue with the bank’s computer system.
“We are experiencing an issue with our network,” the bank said on social media. “We are working as quickly as possible to restore service for our affected customers, and we apologize for the inconvenience.”

Customers are encouraged to use ATMs to access their accounts if they need cash, Anna Kolin, with Fifth Third Bank, told WTOL.
Some customers were unable to use their cards at businesses, and others were unable to log into accounts, WCPO reported.
No timeframe for when the system will be working was given.
