A couple visiting Wrigley Field was unable to watch the Cubs in action when snow and rain canceled Sunday’s game against the Angels. However, a marriage proposal outside the Friendly Confines was much more exciting.

WGN reporter was setting up outside the ballpark to document the late-season snow that caused the cancellation of Sunday's game when she noticed a man getting down on one knee.

The reporter and her cameraman documented Clint Parkinson's marriage proposal to his girlfriend, Clohe Ludwig, the television station reported. The couple met in Denver; Parkinson is from California, while Ludwig hails from Chicago, WGN reported.

"I had an inkling that it was going to be this weekend, I didn't know when," Ludwig told the television station.

Ludwig readily agreed to the proposal.

"I think I said, 'You have to put the ring on me,'" Ludwig told WGN.

Parkinson didn’t hestitate. And while the game was snowed out, the warmth from that proposal at the park more than made up for it.
