Disneyland fight: Charges filed in brawl among family members

Two men and one woman now face charges after a July 5 argument between a brother and sister at Disneyland but then spread among other relatives and escalated into a fight that was caught on video.

Avery Desmond-Edwinn Robinson has been charged with five felonies and nine misdemeanors.

The Orange County District Attorney's Office said in a news release Tuesday that Robinson went after his sister, brother-in-law and girlfriend, KTLA reported.

Prosecutors said he also endangered the lives of his child and three other children, KABC reported.

The DA's office alleges that Robinson also threatened the life of a relative and assaulted a Disneyland cast member as Robinson drove away from the parking garage after he was thrown from the park, KABC reported.

Robinson faces charges of domestic battery, assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and assault with a deadly weapon, as well as two counts of criminal threats, KTLA reported.

Robinson's sister, Andrea Nicole Robinson, has been charged with five misdemeanors that include battery and assault, according to KTLA.

Robinson's husband, Daman Petrie, was also charged with misdemeanor battery.

Family members and other park visitors attempted to break up the fight before the police arrived. One of the men was being held down by parkgoers when Disneyland security personnel arrived, KTLA reported.

The family members were kicked out of the park and when police interviewed them, they claimed there was no fight.

That was until the video was posted on social media and police looked deeper into the case, turning it over to the district attorney, KTLA reported.
