PIQUA, Ohio — A woman was arrested Monday after police said she shot a man at a Piqua, Ohio, residence last week.
Brittney Johnson, 28, was charged with felonious assault and another gun charge and was booked into the Miami County Jail. Her bond was set at $100,000 in Miami County Municipal Court Tuesday.
Johnson told police, "I didn’t mean to shoot him," according to court records.
The victim, Laron Coleman, 30, told police when they questioned him about the shooting that Casper the Friendly Ghost shot him, court records show.
Coleman was shot in the bicep.
Johnson was arrested following search warrants executed at the residence. A silver Honda parked in front of the residence. According to a release from the Piqua Police Department, the vehicle had a bullet hole in the front windshield.
Officers have responded to the residence for domestic violence-related complaints involving Johnson and Coleman in the past, according to police, Dayton Daily News reported.
The gun believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered and sent to the crime lab for analysis.
