PHOENIX — Three people were killed and two others were injured -- one critically -- after a vehicle caught fire after a crash in Phoenix on Saturday, authorities said.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the victims were trapped inside the burning car at about 10:15 p.m. MST and died before they could escape, KPNX-TV reported.
A second vehicle was also involved in the accident, and two men were injured, KTVK-TV reported.

One of the injured victims was taken to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition, according to KNXV-TV. The other man suffered minor injuries, the television station reported.
Identities of the deceased persons have not been disclosed by police, according to KPNX.
It is unclear what led to the collision. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
