Alleged murder suspect, teen daughter killed in shootout in California

VICTORVILLE, Calif. — A man who allegedly killed his estranged wife in California was killed along with his teenage daughter in a shootout with law enforcement on Tuesday.

According to The Associated Press, an abducted girl, Savannah Graziano, 15, and her father, Anthony John Graziano, 45, were killed during a shootout Tuesday on a highway. Anthony was a fugitive wanted for allegedly killing his estranged wife.

The AP reported that Savannah was wearing tactical gear as she ran toward the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office deputies. It is not clear if Savannah was hit by bullets fired by deputies or her father.

Savannah was taken to the hospital after she was struck, but she was pronounced dead just before 12 p.m., according to the AP.

Anthony was pronounced dead at the scene in Hesperia, California. According to the AP, he was wanted for allegedly killing his estranged wife following a domestic violence incident Monday in Fontana, California.

Shortly after the incident, law enforcement officials issued an Amber Alert after Anthony fled the area with Savannah. His truck was spotted Tuesday morning in Barstow, California, which led to a chase. Anthony allegedly fired at deputies with a rifle as he was driving, according to the AP.

No further information has been released. The investigation is ongoing.
