Arnold Schwarzenegger, his pets tell fans to stay home due to coronavirus

Take it from The Terminator: the United States -- and the world -- will be back.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, famous for his body-building, acting and political careers, posted a video Sunday on Twitter, urging fans to help blunt the spread of the coronavirus by staying at home.

Schwarzenegger, 72, is among those people most vulnerable to COVID-19 because of his age. In the video, he feeds his pet donkey, Lulu, and miniature pony, Whiskey, and tells people to consider their safety as the COVID-19 continues to spread worldwide.

“See, the important thing is that you stay at home, because there’s a curfew now. No one is allowed out. Especially someone who is, like, 72 years old," Schwarzenegger said. “After you are 65, you are not allowed out of the house anymore in California. So we stay home and we eat here."

As he fed his pets “yummy” carrots, Schwarzenegger said he has been staying at home with his animals.

“Lulu loves carrots, Whiskey loves carrots, I just had my little bit of vegan food," Schwarzenegger said. “We don’t go out, we don’t go to restaurants, we don’t do anything like that anymore here.”

Schwarzenegger concluded by noting, “No more restaurants, forget about that. Public gatherings, restaurants and gymnasiums -- out the window."

In the caption accompanying his tweet, Schwarzenegger told his 4.4 Twitter followers to “Stay at home as much as possible. Listen to the experts, ignore the morons (foreheads). We will get through this together."
