BRONX, N.Y. — A 4-year-old New York boy is in critical condition after police said he fell from an apartment complex balcony in the Bronx.
Officials with the New York City Fire Department responded just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday for reports of a fall victim, WABC reported.
Police later confirmed to WNBC that the child, who has not been identified publicly, fell from a 10th-story balcony.
The department also confirmed that their preliminary investigation did not indicate any criminality in the child’s fall, noting that at least one parent was inside the residence at the time of the incident, the TV station reported.
The boy was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition Sunday evening, WNBC reported.
