Chicago Police Department officers were called out to an apartment on the 8100 block of South Drexel on Wednesday for a well-being check. Officers who arrived found a 79-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman dead, said Deputy Chief Senora Ben in a news conference according to NBC News.

The two adults were found with gunshot wounds. A 2-year-old boy was also found in the apartment but was unharmed, according to WGN-TV. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

WGN-TV identified the woman as Javonni Jenkins. Her co-workers had been concerned when she didn’t show up for work, so they tried to call. They called the police after her 2-year-old son picked up the phone.

The man was identified as Curtis Harman, 79, according to WGN-TV.

CPD said this was an isolated incident, and that there was no immediate threat to the public, according to WMAQ.

The investigation is ongoing. It is unclear if the police have a suspect.
