Colorado trainer accused of child sex assault

PARKER, Colo. — The owner of a Colorado training facility, who supervises young athletes, is accused of child sex assault, authorities said.

Aaron Carrado, 48, is the owner of Strength in Christ Athletes in Parker, KUSA-TV reported. He was arrested for investigation into of four counts of sexual assault of a child by a person in a position of trust, four counts of unlawful sexual contact, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, according to a news release from the Parker Police Department.

A website for the business describes Carrado as a former collegiate athlete who played in a professional arena football league, The Denver Post reported.

Carrado, according to the website, was a biblical studies major in college, with a minor in exercise science, the newspaper reported.

“Aaron’s goal is to dedicate his skills to the creation and nurturing of an athlete’s performance and fitness, along with their well-being and character building,” the facility’s website stated.

Investigators believe there may have been more victims, KDVR-TV reported. Parker police are asking anyone with information to call 303-805-6561.
