NORTON COUNTY, Kan. — A novel coronavirus outbreak at a Norton County, Kansas, nursing home has sickened all 62 residents and claimed 10 lives, health officials confirmed Monday.
According to the Norton County Health Department, several Andbe Home staff members have also tested positive for the virus at the facility.
“Steps are being taken to prevent any further outbreak, including quarantining residents in their rooms and not allowing outside visitors into the facility,” department officials said in a Monday statement, noting that residents' family members have been notified of the situation.
The department did not reveal how many residents are experiencing symptoms of the disease, The Hill reported.
