Coronavirus: FedEx worker moved by care package left on porch for drivers

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Drivers who normally deliver packages got a nice surprise when an anonymous person left a gift for them. The care package was a kind gesture for couriers who continue to work during the coronavirus pandemic.

Tadashi Andrews, a FedEx delivery driver from Buckeye, Arizona, posted a photo on Instagram of the box that was left on a front porch in Glensdale, KSAZ reported. The box contained rolls of toilet paper, water bottles, cans of soup and bottles of Gatorade, the television station reported.

A note, addressed to FedEx, UPS and Amazon drivers said. “Thank you for being committed to the human race. We are depending on you! Take anything you want! Spread love! Stronger together."

A secondary note, on the left-hand side of the box, advised the drivers about the contents of the box; “We are all sanitized.”

On his Instagram post, Andrews said the gesture was, “So thoughtful. So caring."

“In a time when people are panicking and hoarding everything for no really good reason, these people are willingly giving it away,” Andrews wrote. “We need waaaaay more of this.”
