Coronavirus: Ohio police dog shows right way to wear face mask in adorable video

WOOSTER, Ohio — An Ohio police dog is lending a helping paw in the fight against coronavirus.

In a Facebook video shared Tuesday by the Wooster Police Department, Lucky the K-9 adorably shows viewers how face masks should be worn. But it takes him a few tries to get it right: The pooch dons a surgical mask on top of his head, around his ear and under his chin before wearing it correctly over his nose and mouth.

Although Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has encouraged residents to wear face masks in public, he has not made it mandatory statewide, WLWT reported. As of early Thursday, 27 states had issued mask mandates, according to CNN.
