Moody, 46, a Republican, said she had been vaccinated for the virus earlier this year.

“Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms and my family is in good health,” Moody tweeted. “As I continue to self-quarantine, I want to encourage Floridians to be vigilant about their health.”

Moody’s announcement comes four days after she flew on a state plane with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Senate President Wilton Simpson to Texas, the Miami Herald reported. Moody attended a news conference in Del Rio with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, the newspaper reported.

DeSantis’ office did not respond to a text message and email from the Herald seeking comment.

DeSantis received a COVID-19 vaccine earlier this year, the Herald reported.

DeSantis, Sen. Marco Rubio and Fox News host Sean Hannity attended a town hall meeting on Wednesday night in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami that addressed pro-democracy protests in Cuba, according to the newspaper.

Simpson tested positive for COVID-19 in December, according to the Herald.
