HOUSTON — A 19-year-old Houston man who met someone to sell a PlayStation 5 console was shot by the potential buyer Sunday, authorities said.
The shooting occurred in the northwest area of the city at about 1:30 p.m. CST, KTRK reported.
“The victim listed a PlayStation 5 on the Internet and the suspect came over to buy the (PlayStation), pulled a gun and robbed the victim,” Lt. Paul Bruce of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, told the Houston Chronicle.
Paramedics transferred the teen to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, KPRC reported.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the attempted robbery, but Bruce said there were no suspects in custody, the Chronicle reported.
The PlayStation 5 console remained at the scene, the newspaper reported. Several websites list the console at more than $500, according to KTRK.
