Joe Biden town hall: What time, what channel, how to watch, livestream

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will be answering questions Thursday night in a town hall in Pennsylvania instead of the second presidential debate that had been set for Florida.

The debate, called off after President Donald Trump refused to participate in a virtual debate that was planned after Trump was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus, was to have seen the two men take questions from Florida voters in a town hall setting in Miami.

After the debate was canceled, Biden’s campaign announced it had accepted an offer of a town hall event from ABC News. The event will take place in Philadelphia.

NBC News announced Wednesday that Trump will take part in a town hall event in Miami that will be hosted by the network (click here for details). The events are set for the same time Thursday, though Biden’s event is expected to last 30 minutes longer than Trump’s.

Here are the details for Biden’s event

What time: The event will begin at 8 p.m. ET. It is scheduled to last for 90 minutes.

What channel: The town hall will be broadcast on ABC. According to the network, “For those looking for other ways to watch, it will also stream simultaneously on ABC News Live, which is available to watch on Hulu, Roku, YouTube TV, Amazon Fire tablets and TV stick, Xumo, Sling TV, Facebook, Twitter, ABCNews.com and the ABC News and ABC mobile apps.”

Who is moderating: ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos will moderate the event.

Where will the questions come from: There will be a group of voters chosen by ABC asking questions.
