Mega Millions ticket sold in Arizona is a $410 million winner

One ticket in Arizona matched all six numbers in Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot, and the winner is going to have a $410 million payday, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers of 1, 5, 9, 10 and 23, and gold Mega Ball 22 were pulled in Tuesday’s drawing, according to the Mega Millions and Arizona State Lottery websites.

It is the first time a winning number from the Mega Millions game has been pulled in Arizona, lottery officials said in a news release.

The ticketholder can take the money in annual increments or take a lump sum of $316.8 million before taxes, lottery officials said.

In August 2019, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed legislation that allowed jackpot winners of $100,000 or more to remain anonymous, KTVK reported.

Tuesday’s drawing marks the second time the Mega Millions jackpot has been won in 2020, lottery officials said.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling over since a $202 million jackpot was won in New Jersey on Feb. 11.

The contest now resets to $20 million, and the next drawing is Friday.
