NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A New York woman said she panicked after a spider fell on her while she was driving, causing her to crash into two boats at a Niagara Falls yacht club, authorities said Tuesday.
According to Niagara Falls police, Neysia McCarthy, 19, was driving through a parking lot just after 6 a.m. Tuesday when the arachnid fell onto her, WIVB reported. McCarthy lost control of her vehicle, went over a curb and hit the boats, which were docked at the LaSalle Yacht Club on the Niagara River, the television station reported.

McCarthy and her 21-year-old passenger were not injured, WKBW reported.
According to a news release, a 1987 SunRunner and a 2020 Godfrey pontoon boat, sustained extensive damage, the television station reported. The dock and electrical box also sustained damage.
McCarthy was issued a citation for reckless driving and failing to reduce her speed, WIVB reported.
