Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s personal trainer performed a series of pushups at her casket Friday in tribute to the Supreme Court justice who was lying in state at the Capitol.
Bryant Johnson humbly walked to the coffin and silently paid his respects. He then dropped to the ground and did a set of three push-ups before getting up and walking away.
Ginsburg was known as much for her cutting dissents as her tough physical regimen.
He started training with her in 1999 as she recovered from colon cancer. Even after she overcame multiple bouts of cancer, the 87-year-old made sure to do her planks, push-ups and squats.
Bryant is a military veteran and personal trainer to other high court justices including Stephen Breyer and Elena Kagan, Politico reported.
