James Worsham, who runs Handy Dandy Productions in Nashville, took to social media to unveil his Halloween decorations. It was a classic.

For the first time, I decorated for Halloween!

“To be totally honest, I’m not the biggest Halloween fan,” Worsham told WSMV. “This year was definitely the exception.

“It’s literally the scariest thing. The whole year. Terrifying. If it comes back next year, I quit.”

On his company’s Facebook page, Worsham said he has been based out of Nashville for 12 years. Worsham said his artwork has been commissioned for hotels and restaurants worldwide.

Worsham added that he has worked with NBCU, Bravo and HBOMax. His most endearing quality, however, might be his confession that he is “a cheeseball.”

“I’m known for REALLY bad jokes, and kindness to others is my favorite hobby,” Worsham wrote.

Hello! . I’m James Worsham, the owner and creative captain of Handy Dandy Productions! I figured I’d say hi and tell you...

In March, Worsham lost his art studio to a tornado that devastated Middle Tennessee. His business was closed for four months, and then the restaurants and hotels no longer needed his services, WSMV reported. The same goes for the television production companies.

“All the stuff I had been working on for months (was) just trash,” Worsham told the television station. “It’s just heartbreaking.”

Then, the coronavirus pandemic followed.

“All my projects were canceled, all my commissions,” Worsham told WSMV. “Look, it’s an awful year. It’s been hard on everyone. Nobody’s enjoying this. What can I do to make people smile? When things are at their worst, I think the best medicine you can offer anyone else is to make a joke about it, to keep yourself from crying.”

That is why Worsham did not have to think too hard to come up with a fitting Halloween sign.
