HOUSTON — A 5-year-old Texas boy is dead after a stray bullet struck him as he was recording videos on the balcony of his family’s Houston home, authorities said.

According to KTRK-TV, the shooting occurred March 31 while Jordan Allen Jr. and his father were making TikTok videos on the second-floor balcony of the Richmond Avenue home. Around 9 p.m., gunfire erupted in the parking lot, striking the boy, Houston police said.

The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died days later, KTRK reported.
Police do not believe the shooter meant to strike the child, according to the news outlet.
