Baskin created the digital fan token earlier this week, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

“$CAT is not a currency nor investment, but rather is a purr-ency and the first of its kind as a fan token for supporters of Big Cat Rescue,” the group said in a news release.

The tokens are available at $5 and offer holders exclusive access to the rescue facility, conversations with Baskin and discounts on merchandise. The non-fungible tokens will be available in coming weeks. It joins five other animal-themed tokens including Dogecoin (dog), TrueFlip (dolphin), Nyancoin (cat), Pandacoin (panda) and Neucoin (squirrel).

Baskin gained fame from the documentary, which detailed the dispute between her and Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage. He is currently serving 22 years in federal prison for his role in a murder-for-hire plot to kill Baskin. She was awarded control of Maldonado-Passage’s zoo last June.
