WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — State police are investigating a forgery and theft incident during which an unknown person stole $37,820 from a Westmoreland Community Federal Credit Union account.
According to a police report, the incident occurred at 1:45 p.m. July 29. The person used the victim's information to gain access to the account and withdrew the funds.
A representative from the credit union declined to comment Friday.
