Presidential Debate tonight: What to expect, things to look for and where to watch

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The first presidential debate of 2020 will be held in Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday.

There will be a focus on a lot of issues that are front-and-center right now: racial tensions, the economy and coronavirus.

There will be no opening statements and no commercials, and there will be six segments on six topics that are 15 minutes each.

It’s not clear if the recent headlines related to President Trump’s taxes will come up.

And we’ll see how far President Trump goes on the subject of Joe Biden’s mental fitness. He has been trying to make that a story line in this election. His campaign won’t say if that will be his strategy tonight.

Joe Biden will likely focus on the coronavirus because it resonates with voters.

Analysts said to expect Biden to try and land some punches aimed at the president and the administration.

When the two candidates see each other, they won’t shake hands because of the coronavirus.

You can watch the debate tonight on Channel 11 starting at 9 p.m.
