• Family safely escapes Monessen house fire

    WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. - Authorities continue to investigate the cause of a fire that ripped through two Westmoreland County homes early Sunday morning.

    The flames started in a home on Second Street in Monessen, and quickly spread to a neighboring home.

    The fire chief said the owner of the first house wasn’t home when the blaze began. Everyone was able to safely escape the second home.
