Jomarie Piccini said she was given a five-day notice to stop feeding and get rid of them.

According to borough officials, the notice was in response to neighbor complaints about the cats being a nuisance.

An online petition started by the woman was also gaining traction.

The citation said even though her pets are spayed and neutered Piccini is still responsible for the cats defecating in neighboring properties. It also specified that her feeding of the animals is harmful to their survival in that chronic waste disease in deer is spreading -- and it spreads rapidly when deer congregate around food sources.

But Piccini said when she first noticed the cats about eight months ago, they were in horrible condition. Today, they have been nursed back to health and her biggest fear is being forced to get rid of them.
