W.Va. man dies after hitting dog, flipping ATV in Greene Co.

GREENE COUNTY, Pa. — A West Virginia man died in an all-terrain vehicle accident Friday night, state police in Greene County said.

Benjamin Lee McConnell, 21, was driving an ATV on Blockhouse Run Road in Gilmore around 9:50 p.m. Friday when the vehicle hit a dog and flipped over, according to a statement from police.

McConnell was thrown from the ATV on to the road and sustained head injuries that caused his death, according to police.

Two other riders on different ATVs were not injured.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
