Witness takes stand in case against teen accused of shooting pregnant teen, killing unborn baby

DUQUESNE, Pa. — On Wednesday, a 15-year-old boy from Duquesne took the stand against his lifelong friend, who is accused of shooting a pregnant teenager in May, killing her unborn baby.

Eric Taylor, 15, is accused of shooting DaRae Delgado, 15.  She survived because her baby boy took the bullet, police said.

The young witness said he saw Taylor with a gun before the shooting and just after Delgado was shot.

"We have our work cut out for us.  Do they have holes? Of course," said defense attorney Blaine Jones.

On Wednesday, a judge dropped two counts of reckless endangerment, but the most serious charges, including homicide, were held for court.
