LAWRENCE, Kan. - An 89-year-old man brought a crowd of Kansas University football fans to their feet and possibly a tear to their eyes.
Bryan Sperry has not suited up for a football game for years, but the former star from 1946-48 took center field and was quite possibly an inspiration to generations during the recent alumni game, according to the local paper, The Lawrence Journal-World.
