CLEVELAND — With the 135th pick in the 4th round of the NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans selected decorated Pitt outside linebacker Rashad Weaver.
The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native earned consensus All-American status after the 2020 NCAA season.
After missing all of 2019 with an injury, Weaver came back in 2020 to lead the ACC in sacks per game and tackles for losses.
Pitt selected Weaver for the Panther Award, given to the senior student-athletes who have best promoted Pitt through their athletic achievements. The winners of the Panther Award get their names engraved on the Varsity Walk near the Cathedral of Learning on Pitt’s campus.
At Pitt, Weaver earned bachelor’s degrees in business information system and finance. He was a member of Pitt’s Blue & Gold Society.
